COME ON, LEBRON, SAY KNICKS

Today is the day the LeBron James will make a decision on his basketball future. At this point, I believe he will sign with either the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat. If he signs with the Heat, the NBA will have a new powerhouse team (Chris Bosh & Dwyane Wade have already signed). Having seen the Yankees attempt to buy a championship, I know that there are no guarantees that Miami will actually lock anything up. On the other hand, if LeBron goes to the Knicks, he will show that he really wants to take a team on his back and be THE MAN in the biggest market in the country. He will also become the biggest name on the planet. With Madison Avenue just a lay-up away from the Garden, the endorsement deals will be huge. LeBron has always said that he wants to be a billionaire and that can only happen if he signs with New York.

Hopefully, the cap provides the ultimate clue. Tune in to ESPN at 9:00 PM tonight to find out where LeBron goes.

New York Knicks are tantalizingly close to landing LeBron James and reviving Madison Square Garden. (Mike Lupica, New York Daily News)
