It seems like a tradition that has gone on forever, but I was surprised to learn today that the first President to officially pardon a turkey was George H.W. Bush. President Obama continued the tradition today (see first video).
Oh, and so that Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh don't make jackasses of themselves, the second video is a parody from The Onion. I just didn't want to see this ending up on Fox as the Big Fair and Balanced Story of the day.
