FOCUS ON...JFK ASSASSINATION @ 47

Today we mark the 47th anniversary of the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I was not yet two years old when this tragic event occurred, but I have come to believe that the premature death of JFK changed the course of history to the extent that our lives would truly be different today.

Conspiracy theories abound concerning President Kennedy's assassination and I have my own. There is still wide interest in the event and even a new book written by Secret Service veterans who served Kennedy and his family (The Kennedy Detail).

Do yourself a favor and ask someone who is 60 years of age or older about the event. You'll be amazed at the clarity with which they remember that day in history. Condolences to Caroline Kennedy, a true American treasure and the only living member of the Camelot Clan. You're in my thoughts and prayers today.
