DAILY DOZEN: FAVRE RETIRES (AGAIN?)

It used to mean that when August came we started getting ready for the baseball playoffs and the beginning of football - both college and NFL. But, for the last few years, August has meant the beginning of another installment of "Favre Watch: Will he or won't he retire?"

News came today that Brett once again says he is retiring. Should we believe him? At this point, I feel that his ankle is probably not healing as quickly as he thought it would after surgery and he doesn't feel he can play right now. But, it's a long way to the end of the season. We'll just have to wait and see.
